Multifaceted. I have come to realize it does not work to try to use a singular label to describe myself. I am and always have been many things. While traveling from childhood, through adolescence, young adulthood, and now a fully-fledged-middle-aged adult; there are a few things that have always remained consistent about me. I am an artist, an athlete, motivated, and deeply care about my fellow humans. Early in life I caught the shutter bug and really enjoy photography. I love nature, and how it seems to communicate so clearly what is simply true: life is precious. I enjoy the challenge of translating what I see with my eye, and preserving it with the camera. I appreciate the calmness of nature as it constantly supports our human existence, welcoming us and allowing us to have all our feelings while we occupy the space of a path or forest, or wherever you find yourself within the world. I am adventurous and willing to let go of my fear to allow for the opportunity of experiencing something unknown.
This class, Design Fundamentals Fall 2025, challenged me in new ways and I have appreciated the opportunity to once again expand my horizons.
